I Love this Class!  They never cease to amaze me!
We accomplished so much this week and that's saying something with you know when only a few days away!  :)

Reading:  We are currently looking at the structure of biographies as we read.  We are preparing to retell biographies, write our own biographies after reading many, and developing note taking strategies.

Writing:  Your children are very excited about the writing unit!  We are learning to write lab reports.  Your children are becoming familiar with the format (problem, hypothesis, materials, procedure, results and conclusion) and they are enjoying completing experiments to write about.

Math:  We completed our unit on place value.  Most students are doing very well.  Quiz your child.  Ask them to tell you what 20 more or 10 less than a given number is.  I hope they can tell you.

Social Studies:  We have introduced the 3 main types of communities.  The students have been comparing and contrasting urban, suburban and rural communities.
