This has been one of our most exciting weeks ever! Ms. Knoblock is teaching alone in the class and doing an excellent job. The children seem to love and respect her. We have been learning the song and choreography for our Cat in the Hat flash mob. We will be "performing" 3 times throughout the day tomorrow. It's very exciting. Mrs. Bonacquist will also be wearing the cat costume and roaming through the school tomorrow. We will be making really cute, beaded Cat in the Hat pins after reading a Dr. Seuss biography.
As I am sure you are aware, Richie Phillips from WGNA 101.7 FM radio station was in our classroom creating a song with your children. It came out really good. Please listen tomorrow at 8:20 to hear it live or go to http://wgna.com/ and search for Slingerlands. Remember to "Like" us. The class with the most likes will receive a $200 party from Hannaford. Tell all your friends.
I will send a new book order tomorrow. The students are begging.
