Wow!  Thank you so much for all the support that you gave your children with the Community Projects!  They look great and show real evidence of child production and learning.  I hope you enjoy our PowerPoint reports as well. 

Here are the highlights of our week as provided by the class!

Reading:  The students continued to read with Miss Knoblock in small reading groups.  They are working on remembering what they read and answering questions.
Math:  We are doing mental subtraction.  Completing problems like 53 +_____=100 is hard!
Social Studies:  We finished our Community Unit!
Writing:  We have almost finished writing our Biography report.  We are writing paragraphs and including a lot of details.

I sent home a new book order this week.  It is due on February 14th.  Please remember to have your child bring in his/her valentines on next Thursday.  We will celebrate Valentines Day at 1:45-2:45.  Of course, all are welcome.  We will deliver mail, play games, eat treats and open mail. 
Hopefully, this huge storm will miss us. If school does happen to be closed,  I am sending the homework packet today.   Have a great weekend!
