We have had a wonderful week.  We are wrapping up many of our units and assessing many areas!  I am so proud of the work we have been able to accomplish!

In Reading:  Student state reports will be finished in the next few days.  We will display these projects outside our classroom.  I think you will be impressed by their quality.  I have been working on individually screening your child's reading progress.

In Math:  We have completed both our Money and Geometry units.  NO ONE in our class scored less than Mastery in either area!  WOW!

In Science:  We will be completing our Balancing and Weighing Unit on Friday.  Next week we will begin work on our final mini-unit, Simple Machines.

In Writing:  As we have been working through our Poetry Unit, I am surprised and thrilled by the depth of feeling and word choices that your children are making.  They are seeming to really enjoy the freedom that this unit provides.

We will be making posters and assigning parts for our Flag Day assembly on June 14th.  Please mark your calendars for our 2:20 performance.
I released our final book order on Tuesday.  It should be here within the next 10 days.

Some parents have asked... yes, I will be at the Carnival on June 7th.  I am reprising my role as the Cake Walk lady for the 20 somethingth time!  I hope to see you there!
As always, thank you for your continuing support and interest.  I really appreciate it.
