This has been a great week for catching up and finishing up!

The children completed their state posters and ABC books based on the research they did.  We have begun work on our lines and the posters for Flag Day.  We completed the final District math test.  I finished individually screening each child in reading.  They are showing remarkable progress!  We are completing our final science unit on Simple Machines.  In computer lab the children used Brainpop Jr. to learn about Simple Machines and Forces (pushes and pulls).  We completed the Priority word testing for both grade 2 and 3 words.  After the grades are recorded, I will send the tests home.

We will finish our poetry, simple machines, and telling time units next week.  I will give the final timed math fact test on Wednesday next week.  Please give these facts one final push!

I WILL be at the carnival from 5:00 - 8:00 on Friday night, rain or shine.  I will be working at the Cake Walk.

Field day is next Thursday.  If you ordered a yellow shirt, it was sent home with your child.
The Flag Day Assembly is Friday, June 14th at 2:20.  Please have your child wear red, white and blue that day if possible.
